Moscow to hold meeting of CIS member-states defense ministers

Scheduled 48 of CIS member-states defense ministers’ council will take place in Moscow in April 14. It is expected that delegations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan will take part in the meeting, reports Armenia Today.

More than 20 questions of defense interstate cooperation are at agenda. A plan of joint activity in military-memorial sphere by 2015 year will be discussed and probably passed. Taking into consideration high level of integration between CIS member-states in sphere of defense, will be discussed different variants of establishing joint military-oriented systems. More specifically, joint communication system and automation of armed forces. 

The problem of development and financing of joint air defense system will be on the agenda. The participants will evaluate the level of flights-safety in air forces of the member-states; discuss problems of meteorological secure of military aviation. 

Besides, the problem of interstate military cooperation legal groundwork will be analyzed.
