Azerbaijani Ministry for Culture and Tourism sums up results of last 5 years

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan summed up today the
results of the ministry's last five years work, Trend reports.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Abulfaz Garayev, stressed that
during this time the ministry has adopted five state programs in the
field of culture and tourism. Over the past five years 435
performances were delivered, from which 70 were commissioned by the
state.

In comparison with 2009, the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan in
2010 increased by 100 thousand people, the minister said.

According to him, 2011 is declared the year of tourism in Azerbaijan,
and will be focused on realization of tourism infrastructure projects.
