Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has sent his greetings to the
participants and guests of the IV International Yuri Bashmet Winter
Arts Festival, which opened today in Sochi, Yuga.ru reports.
Putin stressed that the festival is of great interest to professionals
and connoisseurs of the classics and expressed his full confidence
that upcoming concerts and theatre premieres will be a true festivity
for participants of the forum, as well as for all the residents and
guests of pre-Olympic Sochi.
This year the project will be held in the format of a Festival of Arts
for the first time. The programme includes concerts, theatre
performances and ballets featuring leading artistes from all over the
world.
The "New Russia" State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Yuri Bashmet,
will open the festival with a concert.
