Russian Humanitarian Center to open in Bishkek

Agakishiyev Ismail Alovsat ogly, head of the department of post-Soviet foreign states, Alexey Victorovich Vlasov, deputy dean of the history faculty of Moscow State University (MSU) of Lomonosov, and Tolobek Abylovich Abdyrakhmanov, head of the Bishkek University of Arabayev, have held a meeting at Abdyrakhmanov’s university on March 22.


60 books on Russian history and literature published by the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) were presented to the Kyrgyz university. The RSUH plans to open a Russian Humanitarian Center at Bishkek university, with three offices in the country’s south, on April 25.


The initiative was proposed by the Jalal-Abad State University, Osh State University and the Kyrgyz Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute. The RSUH and Moscow State University of Lomonosov plan to present the Russian Humanitarian Center with 100 more books. Abdyrakhmanov presented a grateful note to Agakishiyev for the head of the RSUH, Yefim Pivovar.


A meeting was held with the authorities of the Kyrgyz National University. History books were presented to the head of the history faculty of the university. The sides agreed to open a Russian history room. The Russian Humanitarian and History Center will open on April 25-26. Officials from the Russian embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will be at the opening. The RSUH and the MSU will hold public lectures for Kyrgyz students.
