The Baku Expo Center is hosting the tourism exhibition AITF 2011 on April 28-30, Edward Stroon, regional director of the ITE Group and organizer of the exhibition, said on Wednesday, Trend reports.
It is the 10th such exhibition. The first AITF opened in 2002, with the participation of 26 companies from 5 states. AITF-2011 will see 230 companies from 24 states. 61 tourism trends will be demonstrated.
The head of Azerbaijani Tourism Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Aydyn Ismiyev, said that an all-Republican Exhibition of Internal Tourism will be held at the same time, with 100 presentations of companies from 18 regions.
Media from Germany, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and experts from the World Tourism Organization will visit the exhibitions.
AITF-2011 increased its space for expositions by 25%. Turkey will be a partner of the exhibition for the second time.
