The grand opening of the Heydar Aliyev Auditorium-Museum has taken
place in the Eurasian National University of Lev Gumilyov in Astana
today, on the initiative of Azerbaijani ambassy in Kazakhstan, VK
reports.
“This event is dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of the
national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and is part of the
framework of Baku State University Day at the Eurasian National
University”, the rector of the Eurasian University, Bakhytjan
Abdraimov, said at the opening.
At the ceremony they also opened a bas-relief of Heydar Aliyev, set
inside the auditorium. The rector of Baku State University, Abel
Magerramov, was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of the Eurasian
National University of Heydar Aliyev.
Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev, Georgian ambassador to Kazakhstan Paata Kalandadze, Kyrgyz ambassador to Kazakhstan Janysh Rustenbekov, deputies of the Majilis (the Kazakh parliament), representatives of the Friendship and Culture Association
‘Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan’ and representatives of the local Azerbaijani
diaspora were also present.
