Golden Apricot film festival ends in Armenia

The Golden Apricot international film festival has just drawn to a conclusion in the Armenian capital Yerevan, News.am reports.

The Iranian film "A Separation" won the top award at the film festival. According to the Voice of Russia, the film, directed by Asghar Farhadi, is a drama about a marriage that falls apart over a clash between Iranians looking to the future and those stuck in the country’s traditionalist past.

"A Separation" was among 150 entries from 45 countries at the festival, at which Russia was represented by Yelena Dmitrieva’s documentary "Red Bilberry Island".
