The Armenian expert on architecture Samvel Karapetyan announced the results of an inspection of Armenian monuments in Iran at today's press conference in Yerevan. Karapetyan and his group have been researching the state of Armenian monuments from June 10 to July 10. The group visited five provinces that constitute a part of historical Armenia - Parspatunik (Karadag) Artaz (Mac), Hoy, Zarevand (now Salmast) and Urmia (Kaputan), Armenia Today reports.
Karapetyan said, that the Iranian leadership tries to keep the monuments in good condition. The specialist said that many monuments have been recently restored in a very careful way.
