Azerbaijan has begun preparations for launching a second satellite
into orbit. The satellite will be used for cosmic studies and
environmental and emergency management, Minister of Communications and
Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said today, Trend reports.
Abbasov said that the second satellite will be launched into a low
geostationary orbit.
The construction cost of the satellite Azerspace amounts to $120
million, 85 percent of which will be provided to Azerbaijan as a loan
from the US Ex - Im, while the remaining 15 percent will be paid from
by public funds.
