Vitaly Mutko, Russian Minister for Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy,
believes that the death of Ivan Agafonov in a dispute with World
Champion in Mixed Fights, Rasul Mirzayev, has ruined the country's
sports image, RIA Novosti reports.
Mirzayev hit 19-year old Agafonov in the center of Moscow, near the
Garage Club, on August 13. Agafonov died in hospital within several
days.
The athlete was released on bail of 5 million rubles on August 22. The
Moscow City Court canceled the release and ordered the detention of
Mirzayev on August 24.
