Director Robert Sturua, dismissed from the Tbilisi Drama Theater of
Shota Rustaveli for xenophobia, has accepted Alexander Kalyagin’s
invitation to work at the Et Cetera theatre in Moscow, RIA Novosti
reports.
Georgian Culture Minister Nikoloz Rurua dismissed Sturua on August 15.
The decision was followed by protests from the theatre's staff.
The director recalled that he was popular among actors and organized
three plays. He added that leaving Georgia is “not very pleasant”.
