Turkey is scheduled to mount an exhibition of artistic creations by artists of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member-states, Press TV reports on Tuesday.
The deputy of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) Nazeih Talib Maarouf and ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) Director Hojjatollah Ayyoubi announced the news, saying that the event aims to expand cultural collaboration between the two organizations.
“IRCICA and ECO have many features in common which can pave the ground for more mutual collaboration,” IRNA quoted Maarouf as saying.
Maarouf also invited the ECO Cultural Institute to take part in IRCICA seminars and festivals.
The ECO Cultural Institute and IRCICA also held an exhibition of calligraphic works by 60 ECO artists in August 2011 in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
