Rostov-on-Don to establish center for studies of North Caucasian problems

Rostov-on-Don will open a Center for Studies of North Caucasian Problems, Yuga.ru reports.


The center is planned to be formed at the Scientific Center of the High School of the Southern Federal District, Institute of Socio-Economic and Humanitarian Studies of the Black Sea – Caspian Region, Center for Systemic Regional Studies and Forecasts of the high school, Institute of Socio-Political Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Vector-South Expert Center, RIA Novosti reports.


Head of the Institute of Socio-Economic and Humanitarian Studies of the Black Sea – Caspian Region, Vladimir Zakharov, said that the center will work on formation of the science base using archive of the North Caucasus. He clarified that the main problems are the so-called “Cherkessian issue” and return of the Mujahideens.
