Globalization can only come through realization of wide-scale and persistent efforts to form a future based on reference to humanity in all its diversity, the head of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Yefim Pivovar, said at a session of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Pivovar spoke on multiculturalism in state policy. Globalization changes value systems and social and cultural processes. Spiritual and political changes cause fundamental changes in all spheres of life.
The expert says that there is still a risk of conflicts between civilizations.
The Baku International Humanitarian Forum “21st Century: Hopes and Challenges” opened in Azerbaijan on Monday. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev opened the session together with his wife Mehriban Aliyeva.
