Azerbaijan is preparing for the Second Media Forum of Turkic States. Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan will take part. Russia will be represented by Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Tuva, Sakha. European media companies will also be involved, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Press Council, Aflatun Amashov, told APA.
The Fund for State Support of Mass Media Development of Azerbaijan assisted in organizing the forum. The main topic of the forum is Turkic media in globalization. Over 200 people will hold talks. About 60 foreign guests will highlight the meeting.
The forum will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Badamdar on October 28. Each participant will add a point to the media situation. Another important factor is integration in the global information of Turkic media. Social journalism is becoming more significant.
Amashov reported that the forum will be held from October 27 to 30. Guests will meet on October 26. A concert at the State Philarmony will be held on October 27. Guests will visit sites of the city. October 28 will only be devoted to the forum. A visit to Guba will be held on October 29. Participants of the forum will visit the public television.
