Iranian film director Majid Majidi is making a new film about the life of the Prophet Muhammad in Asaluyeh, Trend reports.
Filming started in October and will be completed in late December.
It will be the most costly film made in Iran for several years. Some $30 million were issued. The film will consist of three parts, mainly depicting Muhammad’s childhood and his post-prophet period.
Majidi was at the cinema festival in Antalya and presented his film “The Song of Sparrows” in 2008.
