Georgian literature week started in Armenia

Georgian literature week has started in Armenia today until June 12th,
News Armenia reports.

Two Georgian literary collections were translated: the Anthology of
Modern Georgian literature, consisting of 15 modern Georgian prose
writers, and a collection ‘Tears of the Sun’ with lyrics by Magvaly
Gonashvili, the head of the Armenian writers’ union, Levon Ananyan,
said on Tuesday. ‘Tears of the Sun’ was presented in the Armenian city
of Giumri on June 10th, the anthology was presented in Yerevan on June
11th.


The Deputy Minister of Culture of Armenia, Artur Pogosyan, expressed
hope that the event would extend bilateral cooperation between the
countries.


The days of Georgian literature in Armenia have been held annually since 2006.
