Delegations of 42 countries participating in Eurovision-2012 hold meeting

A meeting of delegations from the 42 countries which will participate in Eurovision-2012 was held on Monday in Baku, the official website of the competition said, Trend informs.

At the meeting the delegations officially presented the songs which will be performed by their representatives.

The participants were informed about the arena in which the competition will be held, the concept of the scene, hotels and other important issues.

"We believe that a fantastic show will be held in Baku in May," the head of "Eurovision" Jan Ola Sand said at the meeting.

The heads of the delegations were informed about the "Baku Crystal Hall", where the "Eurovision-2012" contest will be held, and about the show.

It was noted that a lighting system which until now has not been used by European TV channels will be used in the show. In addition, the postcards (videos shown by prior performances of the member country) this year will be different from previous ones. All 42 postcards will be devoted to Azerbaijan, which is hosting Eurovision-2012.

There will be a draw ceremony at the end of the two-day meeting. The sequence of participation in the first and second semi-finals and the performance of the 6 countries that will participate in the final will be determined as a result of the draw.

The draw ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 20 at 14:00 Baku time and will be broadcast live on the eurovision.tv site.
