Vlasov says Yefim Pivovar’s monograph contributes to prospects of Russian-Azerbaijani relations

The Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) has started a presentation of a monograph called “Russian-Azerbaijani relations (90s of the 20th to early 21st centuries)” by Yefim Pivovar, Chairman of the Russia-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, head of the RSUH, corresponding member of the RAS.

The monograph gives an image of 20 years of Russian and Azerbaijani bilateral relations, international cooperation, including collaborations in the UN, OSCE and other regional integration structures.

Alexey Vlasov, Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza, said that the book composed after grand and fruitful work in studies of Azerbaijan’s history, held by the historic sub-departments of the Russian State University under the supervision of Pivovar for years.

Even though a lot of attention is paid to Central Asia and Ukraine in the book, the most notable achievements were reached in studies of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, Vlasov believes.

The editor-in-chief notes that Pivovar collected vast materials and every conclusion stated in the monograph of the author was supplemented by facts and documents.

Alexey Vlasov says that the monograph is an important contribution to the development of humanitarian, scientific, historical and cultural ties, which are just as essential as economic and political interaction.
