Buranovskiye Babushki to fly to Moscow

The Buranovskiye Babushki Band will fly to Moscow on May 8 to rehearse their song. Then they will head to Baku, RIA Novosti reports.

The band from Udmurtia of Galina Koneva saw an Afro-American in Moscow for the first time in their life and almost got lost in the city, it was stated by Olga Tuktarev, their artistic supervisor.

Buranovskiye Babushki were elected as Russian singers for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku on March 8. They got 38.51 points from the judges and beat Eurovision winner Dima Bilan and former member of t.A.T.u. Yulia Volkova and opera singers Aida and Timati.

They will sing the Party for Everybody song with music by co-producer Victor Drobysh, the song by the band itself, English text by Mary Susan Applegate (UK) of Modern Talking and Kylie Minogue. Azerbaijan will host the song contest in Baku on May 22-26.
