Iran’s provincial capital of Mashhad has held the 7th Ferdowsi International Congress, hosting scholars and Shahnameh experts from different countries, Press TV reports.
The event will run at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad until May 14, which is annually celebrated as the national Ferdowsi Day in Iran.
The three-day congress will present articles and lectures on the world-renowned Persian epic poet and his masterpiece Shahnameh (Book of Kings).
