The Baku subway will operate 24/7 during the semi-finals and final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, Trend cites the assistant chief of the Baku subway, Mamed Bayramov, as saying.
The subway will operate 24 hours a day on May 22, 24 and 26. It has 23 stations and its lines exceed 34.6 km. It transports 200 million passengers annually. The newest station opened is Darnagul, launched on May 29, 2011.
Baku will host the 57th Eurovision Song Contest at the Baku Crystal Hall in 2012. It will have a capacity of 23,000 spectators and will have large monitors for 16,000 more to watch the show live. The semi-finals will be held on May 22 and 24, and the final on May 26.
