Adygeya has concludes the 21st Regional Festival of Cossack Culture at the Tulsky Village of the Maikop District of the republic, Yuga.ru reports.
The festival was held on June 2-3, marking the 150th anniversary of the village. 52 choruses and ensembles of the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, Rostov Region, Karachay-Cherkessia and Adygeya, 9 soloists and 11 children’s groups attended.
The Kubanskiye Kazaki ensemble from Belorechensk of the Krasnodar Territory won the grand prize of 25,000.
Adygeya won one of the main prizes. The Kazachya Pesny chorus won a video camera handed by the governor of the Krasnodar Territory. A laptop of the Department of the Krasnodar Territory was given to the Mlada ensemble from the Yelizavetinskaya Village of the Krasnodar Territory. The boarding schools of V. Zakharenko from Krasnodar won a TV. Its chorus Istoki from the Tbilisskaya Village of the Krasnodar Territory won the prize.
Professor Gissa Chich, an honorary artist of Russia and Adygeya, was chairing the judges of the contest.
