Baku is hosting the 19th International Exhibition and Conference Caspian Oil and Gas today. It will remain open at the Expo Center until June 8th, Trend reports.
The Ministry for Industry and Energy, State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) support the project. It was organized by ITE Group PLC (UK) and its partner Iteca Caspian. ITE LLC Moscow (Russia), EUF (Turkey), GIMA (Germany), ITE China (China), ITE Gulf (UAE) are taking part.
Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri, Lithuanian Energy Minister Arvidas Sikmokas, Iranian Petroleum Minister Rostam Kazemi are VIP guests.
304 companies from 35 states attend the project. The UK, Germany, China, Russia, Turkey, CIS, European and East Asian states attend. Vietnam is taking part this year. Over 40% of area was taken by world-known companies. Foreigners take 59% of area, 10% by new companies. The exposition grew by 15% this year.
21 companies sponsor the project. BP Azerbaijan s the general sponsor, SOCAR and Andrade Gutierrez are golden sponsors. Caspian Geophysical, Conoco Phillips, Cross Caspian Oil and Gas Logistics, Det Norske Veritas, Ernst&Young, IGI POSEIDON S.A., Inpex Corporation, McDermott Caspian Contractors, MESC, Nobel Oil LTD, OMV Aktiengesellschaft, RWE, Statoil, Salans, TAP, Total E&P Azerbaijan, Velosi, Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (Petrovietnam) are also sponsoring it. Azerfon LLC, AZAL, Greenwich Travel Club, Hilton Baku and Caucasus Point Hotel are the partners of the exhibition and conference.
Topics of the exhibition were split into innovative technologies of petroleum, oil and gas equipment and storage.
The Hilton Baku Hotel will host the Caspian Oil and Gas Conference on June 6. 550 people will attend it, representing SOCAR, BP, RWE, TPAO, OMV and other structures.
Seminars will be held. Modcon Systems Ltd and Invensys Operations Management will have a seminar at the Baku Expo Center at 10 am - 3pm to discuss advanced technologies, automatization and optimization.

The Caspian Oil and Gas project is marking its 20th anniversary this year and the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Organizers plan a special program to assist the Caspian Oil and Gas 2013 project.
