The deputy head of Culture and Islamic Relations and International
Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Karim Najafi Barzegar, has
met with the Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, David Tskhadadze.
The sides agreed on cooperation in the field of culture, Business
Georgia reports, referring to the news agency IRNA.
"At present, Iran and Georgia have favorable bilateral relations in
the sphere of culture. The increase in the number of translations of
literary works is an indicator of the depth of cultural interaction
between the two countries," Bazergar said.
David Tskhadadze announced his country's readiness to participate in joint Georgian-Iranian projects in the arts and culture. The
Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia thanked the Iranian side for their
help in translating the Persian poet Ferdowsi's poem into the Georgian
language.
