Italian scientists to study seismic activity near Absheron

The head of the Department of the Institute of Environmental Study of
the National Research Council of Italy, Luciano Celeste, has paid a
visit to the  Institute of Geology of ANAS. The visit of the Italian
researcher is a joint research in the field of geodynamic processes
and Absheron's seismic activities, News-Azerbaijan reports citing the
press service of the Institute of Geology of the Azerbaijani National
Academy of Sciences.

The Italian scientist has met with the director of the Institute of
Geology of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, and other scientists. The
participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of cooperation
between the two academic institutions.

The head of the Department of Geodynamics and Seismology of the
Institute of Geology of ANAS, Professor Fakhraddin Gadirov, and his
colleagues informed the Italian specialist about the results of the relevant research of the institution.
