The Chechen Ministry for Education and Science has purchased over 6,000 computers for schools, press service of the Chechen government reports.
Chechen Minister for Education and Science Anzor Muzayev said that schools will have 50% of all computers needed. There was 1 computer per 32 pupils in 2009, it reached 1 per 17 pupils. Chechnya plans to have 1 computer per 5 pupils in 2015, Muzayev says.
Purchase of computers was realized as part of the governmental order for approval of measures on modernization of Chechen education for 2012.
448000 copies of education literature will be purchased. 354 medical cabinets and 208 laboratory complexes will be established.
