Russia.Park organized a presentation of culture of peoples of the North Caucasus at the Olympic Games in London today. Islamey, a folk group from Adygeya with over 100 songs, started the presentation. Over 1000 spectators arrived to watch, RIA Novosti reports.
Islamey performed in Russia, Turkey, Jordan and Israel.
The opening and closing of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi will be held at the Fisht Stadium in the western part of the Main Caucasus Gorge.
Russia.Park organized a meeting called Visit Russia a week ago. A program of the North Caucasus and Sochi and its Winter Olympic Games of 2014 were presented. The Northern Caucasus Resorts presented the largest tourism project of Europe for skiing and coastal recreation of the Black and Caspian Seas. The project won the MIPIM Asia Awards-2011.
A documentary called “Arkhyz” was presented to describe the local nature, millennium-old temples and remains of the Great Silk Road.
The State Academic Ensemble of Dance Lezginka, winner of the 47th festival of folk dances, arrived in London.
