A. Omarov, Plenipotentiary Envoy of Dagestan, Chairman of the commission for interethnic and inter-confessional relations of the Public Council of the North Caucasus Federal District, has met Kirill, the Metropolitcan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Sheikh Muhammad Haji Rahimov, Mufti of the Muslim Administration of the Stavropol Territory, RIA Dagestan reports.
They discussed cooperation of the Russian Orthodox Church, Muslim communities and ethnic unities in the region. Special attention was paid to forming common spiritual values, moral norms and ethnics, respect for other cultures.
Omarov invited them to take part in public associations within the Union of Peoples of the Stavropol Territory “For Peace in the Caucasus” and heads of cultural centers of Dagestani peoples in the Stavropol Territory.
