Soviet cinema festival on ‘Culture’ channel to start with film of Rasim Odzhagov

The TV channel ‘Russia K’ will start a Soviet film festival week,
demonstrating films of the former Soviet republics starting with a film
of the famous Azerbaijani people’s artist Rasim Odzhagov ‘Ad Gunu’
(Birthday) made in 1977, using Rustam Ibragimbekov’s script, Trend
reports.


The film tells a story about a teacher named Mustafa who met a house
painter Ali, who was celebrating his son’s birthday, in Baku. Ali
invited Mustafa to his house. The film tells about kindness, honesty of
feelings and sensitivity.


It is the first work in colour film, presented with Azerbaijani State
award, it’s a debut of such actors as Gadji Ismailov, Yashar Nuri, Fuad
Poladov.


Such famous actors as Shafig mamedov, Shukufa Yusifov, Guseynag Sadygov, Agaguseyn Kerimov, Rafik Azimov, Syadaya Mustafayeva, Giulshan Kurbanova, Samandar Rzayev, David Uplisashvili took part in the film.
