Rasul Gamzatov exhibition opens in Makhachkala

Today, September 7, on the eve of the birth date of the world-famous poet
of Dagestan Rasul Gamzatov, the National Library in Makhachkala is opening

an exhibition of impressionist painter Ahad Hasanov, dedicated to the
poet and his work, RIA Dagestan reports.

Among the exhibited works of the artist will be "Corniche",
"Rider", "Old Hut", "Watchtower", "Rasul and Patimat", "Return of
Ahulgo", "Balharka", "Apple Tree in Bloom", and landscapes and
portraits of ordinary working people of the mountains. More than half
of the paintings on show were painted
by him within one month, Ahad Hasanov said.

"Certainly, the fast pace of painting was helped by the poet,
who inspired me. His works are close to Dagestani life, they open it
to people from all sides, introducing the customs and traditions. I know
that art brings people together, and I would want all Dagestanis,
and in general all Russians, to be more humane to each other,
united in the decision to value our fragile world," the artist said.
