London gallery is slated to mount an exhibition of various contemporary calligraphic painting created by the veteran Iranian artist Sadeq Tabrizi.
For the first time in over twenty years, a collection of Tabrizi’s paintings will be brought together and showcased in London, IRNA reports.
As one of the lead artists of his generation, Tabrizi has made a great contribution to both the creation and the dissection of modern art in Iran.
Tabrizi, also renowned as one of the masters in the Saqqakhaneh School, has taken Iranian folk art and literary traditions beyond their original context, producing a style of intermediary art mixing Western and Persian artistic conventions.
