Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), has been awarded with the Order of Brilliance by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia Online reports.
Abdullayev and Saakashvili attended the opening of the Tea House Cultural and Recreation Center in Marneuli. The center will have studies of Georgian language, computers, art and drawing. Saakashvili talked with Azerbaijani students in Georgian.
He recalled that he had visited the place 8 years ago and had to speak Russian or use translators. He called for more intense integration.
The Tea House gave jobs to 70 people. Monuments to Nizami Ganjavi and Shota Rustaveli were built there.
