The fourth edition of International Sculpture Symposium in Tehran has drawn to a close after announcing the names of this year’s winners, Press TV reports.

The 30-year-old artist Mario Lopez from Portugal received the first prize for an abstract work based on a Japanese rock garden during the symposium.

The second prize went to the 59-year-old Spanish sculptor Miguel Isla. His works have been acclaimed at many international events, including the Montbrison International Sculpture Biennial in France in 1999, so far.

The third prize was presented to Iranian sculptor Milad Nabizadeh, and Roland Mayer from Germany received an honorable mention.
