The Moscow State University of M.V. Lomonosov has become the best Russian university, according to ExpertRA. The rating was given for quality of education, demand for its graduates and science progress.
The top five universities of Russia include the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Saint-Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and the NSU of the HSE.
Alexey Khodyrev, chief analyst of ExpertRA, said that 116 out of 130 higher education centers in the list presented their data. 4,000 people took part in questioning.
ExpertRA analysts say that technical specialists are of higher demand than managers, economists and humanitarians.
MSU has the highest education fees, totaling 314,000 rubles annually, followed by MGIMO with 299,000 rubles, Higher School of Economics 277,400 rubles. The Bauman Moscow State Technical University fees are 174,500 rubles, being 10th in the list.
Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and Thomson Reuters say that none of the Russian universities top their list. The MSU was only on the 216th position.
