Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to Olga Rostropovich, daughter of singer Galina Vishnevskaya, at the Opera Song Center in Moscow.
People will be paying last respects to the famous Russian singer until 8 pm. Prayers will start at the Christ the Saviour Church tomorrow and the funeral will be held at the Novodevichye Cemetery at about 1 pm.
Vishnevskaya was born in Leningrad on October 25, 1926. She worked at the Leningrad Regional Operetta Theater, the Bolshoi Theater. She married cello player Mstislav Rostropovich in 1955.
