Azerbaijan will use a new system to list names, Trend reports, citing the director of the Institute of Information Technologies of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, Rasim Aliguliyev.
He told that names corresponding to the national, cultural and ideological values of Azerbaijan will be added to the ‘green list’ and there will be no limitations to these names.
The second category is the ‘yellow list’ - names that sound bad in other languages or could become the subject of taunts.
The third category is the ‘red ‘list’ of forbidden names. They are names of people that committed aggressive acts against the Azerbaijani people or offensive names. Aliguliyev said that these lists will come into force this year, after the Academy of Sciences approves them.
