Scientists of the Department for Regional Studies of the Southern Federal University will study Cossacks as a phenomenon for two years, the department’s dean Anton Serikov said, Yuga reports.
Victor Volodatsky, Supreme Chieftain of the Union of Cossack Forces of Russia and foreign states, believes that the research would put an end to negative myths about Cossacks and prove its efficient social force.
