Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and its Vice President Leyla Aliyeva have attended the “Flight to Baku: Modern Azerbaijani Art” exhibition at the Rome National Museum of Modern Art MAXXI, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Baku magazine and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy, AzerTAG reports.
Mehriban Aliyeva and President of the museum Jovanni Melandri had a meeting.
Leyla Aliyeva said that Azerbaijan was the first Muslim state to give women the right for vote. Baku had the first secular school open for Muslim girls in 1918. She added that the exhibition will have presentations of works by 21 artists.
Erve Mikaeloff is supervising the exhibition. He said that it will demonstrate the world of Altay Sadykhzade, Aida Mahmoudova, Aliyar Alimirzoyev, Rashad Alekperov.
