Businessman Gaji Gajimusayev has received the third-rank Order of Honour and Glory of the Russian Orthodox Church for helping build the Church of St. Dmitry Donskoy on the Polyarnaya Street in Moscow’s Severnoye Medvedkovo District, press service of the Fund for Support of Programs for Construction of 200 Orthodox Churches reports.
The award was granted by Podolsk Bishop Tikhon, head of the department for finances and economy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Gajimusayev and his Dorinzh-39 company helped build the church. It was blessed by Tikhon on March 8.
The businessman said that the new program was to renovate the architecture and spiritual appearance of Moscow.
