Iranian director Vahid Vakilifar’s second feature-length film Taboor has been hailed at the 15th edition of Deauville Asian Film Festival in France, Press TV reports.
Vakilifar's screen creation was awarded the Critic’s Prize of Lotus Air France (Prix de la Critique Internationale) at the festival.
Taboor which means the naval of the earth in old mythology is about human beings trapped in the surrounding environment.
The movie is also espected to be screened at the Viewpoints section of the 12th Tribeca International Film Festival in the United States, which will focus on stories told from distinctly male and female perspectives.
