The ethnological museum in Berlin held celebrations of Nowruz on March 24. They were organized with support of embassies of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Director of the museum Viola Koenig noted that Nowruz was part of the UNESCO cultural heritage and was celebrated by over 300 million people on the territory from the Balkans to South Asia. Representatives of countries taking part in the celebrations made 30-minnute program presentations.
Azerbaijan’s Balaban Group of Shirzad Fataliyev performed Sary Gelin, Dilberim and other folk compositions.
