Yerevan is hosting the first Armenian international poetry festival which will last 5 days, News Armenia cites chairman of writers Levon Ananyan.
Over 50 notable foreign poets from 30 countries will attend the festival. An anthology of 50 Armenian poets will be published in Armenian and English.
The Union of Writers plans to have each poet plant a tree to make the Poetry Square. The union will also mark the 500th anniversary of book-printing in Armenia.
