The US State Department has published a list of states violating the freedom of faith. Iran, China, North Korea, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Uzbekistan and Eritrea top the list, ITAR-TASS reports.
US Secretary of State John Kerry presented the list composed in 2012. It includes 199 countries and territories.
Russia was included in the list as a state that needs to pay more attention to protect people’s religious rights. According to the document, Russian laws to fight extremism violates the rights of untraditional religious sects and organizations.
