The 16th Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts held in Ismailia, Egypt, has awarded two Iranian short movies during the closing ceremony of the festival, Press TV reports.
Iranian film director Omid Abdollahi’s Glimmer won the Jury Prize in the Short Fiction Competition of the festival.
His film depicts the story of an old optician who is going to close his optometry shop due to his weak eyesight and one of his clients who has not come to pick up her eyeglasses.
Mashti Ismail directed by Mehdi Zamanpour Kiasari received the Best Film Prize in the Short Documentaries Competition, the news agency reports.
