Migrants to study Russian using Orthodox Christian books

 

The Russian Church has published a textbook called Basics of the Russian Language and Culture for migrants, ITAR-TASS cites Maksim Parshin, head of the service for regional relations of the Synod section for interaction of the Church and public.

The book was developed at the Russian Orthodox University.

Russia has 253 courses of the Russian language, 67 of which were opened with assistance of the Federal Migration Service for free. 12 prepaid courses are available at churches in Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Kaliningrad.
