Deputy Director General of the Moscow Academic Music Theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko will replace Vladimir Urin as its Director General. Urin became the Director General of the Bolshoi Theater, RIA Novosti reports.
Karapetyan was born in Yerevan in 1969. He graduated at the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov in 1992. He worked as a conductor at the Music Theater of the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory, director of the Perm Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. He became a conductor at the Moscow Academic Music Theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko in 1997. He was the director of the Nord-Ost musical in 2001. He became the administrative manager of the Moscow Academic Music Theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko in 2005.
