The WOMAD Festival was moved from Kislovodsk to Pyatigorsk. It will take place at Mashuk on September 20-22, Interfax-South cites Sergey Asadchev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol Territory.
The official said that Pyatigorsk had better security for the festival. Up to 15,000-20,000 spectators will attend it. The WOMAD RUSSIA may become a regular regional event. Asif Ali Khan, Vopli Vidoplyasova, Nino Katamadze, Pelageya, Khuun-Khuur-Tu, Ska Cubano were invited.
