In the Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya, a national festival-contest of folk instruments "Echo of the Mountains" will be held among the cultural institutions of the republic.
The organizer of the festival-contest is the "Community Center" of the Ministry of Culture of the Chechen Republic, which holds regular festivals, competitions and performances of amateur groups, but this kind of event is being held for the first time.
"The department of art contributes a lot to the organizational preparations for the upcoming event. Colorful decoration of the hall and foyer are planned. The main objective of the festival-contest is to help amateur groups and individual artists to express themselves, to give everyone the opportunity to show their collective creative potential," Grozny-Inform quotes the Community Center.
Promotion of folk culture and art, education of children and young people on the best examples of folk music and traditional culture - these are the main components of the festival competition. An independent and qualified jury from among the best representatives of art and culture of the country will judge the performances.
