Chechnya will host the Chechenskaya Garmon Festival of folk art at the Center for Folk Art at the Chechen Culture Ministry on October 1, Chechnya Today reports.
The festival was organized to mark the 105th anniversary of Umar Dimayev, People’s Artist of the Chechen Soviet Socialist Republic, notorious for his performances with the accordion. All participants of the festival will receive certificates and presents.
